A little while ago I was asked if I would like to try out a digital version of The Book Of Everyone for free in order to promote their special Christmas edition but to also spread awareness of a charity I think we all should know about here in the UK. I was able to personalise the majority of the pages and within ten minutes I had an email to confirm that my digital book was ready to be downloaded! Since downloading my ‘book’ I have enjoyed reading through the pages feeling very nostalgic, enlightened with quirky facts and had quite a few giggles. I can thoroughly recommend this as a gift for Christmas, a birthday, an anniversary or wedding gift idea for absolutely anyone!
So what is The Book Of Everyone?
The prices DIGITAL: £7.50 SOFTCOVER EXPRESS: £19.50 HARDCOVER: £29.50 DELUXE EDITION: £49.50
By purchasing any of their books, including the digital versions, this Christmas time you will also be helping out the amazing charity that is Age Uk.
This Christmas around 500,000 elderly people will spend the festive period alone. That’s a number that really doesn’t sit right with me, can you imagine all our elder loved ones on their own? Neither can I. The awesome people at The Book of Everyone have come up with a heartwarming idea by supporting Age UK with their People Are Amazing campaign. On top of sharing their campaign profits with Age UK, every Book that is bought on the run up to Christmas will go towards another personalised book celebrating the life of an elderly person. These books will be tailored with stories and pictures from that individuals life and will be delivered to them in person during the Christmas holidays. So not only will you be purchasing and building a book for a loved one, which I can say would be a brilliant personalised gift for anyone, you will also be gifting and helping to make an elderly persons Christmas seem that little less lonely whilst making them feel just as special as they should feel.
Who are Age UK?
Age UK is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping folks make the most of later life. Through a friendly network of over 170 local centres, Age UK supports elderly people and their families by providing:
Day centres and lunch clubs, Home help and ‘handyperson’ schemes, Training in IT and other skills, information, advice and advocacy services.
Age UK is also the only charity to fund research exclusively focused on tackling the diseases and disabilities associated with growing older and the consequences that they can bring about, such as social isolation, anxiety, frailty and loss of independence.
Be sure to check out both Age UK and The Book Of Everyone online and if you can please try and help out an elder neighbour this Christmas I am sure they would appreciate it immensly. No one deserves to be alone at Christmas.
