Throwback Thursday is a weekly feature here on Random Thoughts Of A Twenty Something. It is said that a picture can paint a thousand words and I wanted a way of looking back and reflecting on my past whether it be recent or from years gone by. There’s something quite intimate and revealing about sharing photographs from our lives and I’m always intrigued about the story behind the lens.
Last week I shared with you a picture of my brave daughter post-surgery and generally I have been a bit ranty and whilst sharing my pregnancy journey is important there hasn’t been a lot of positivity on the blog. So this week I have a fun photograph from 2014 on Elliots 6th birthday!
The two eldest children in our household have always seemed to have their own quirky style and fun personalities. Elliot is strong minded, determined to dress and act how he likes pushing out gender stereotypes in the process and Nevaeh loves to be the centre of attention and definitely has a stage quality presence about her. The two of them together can entertain even the most sad and upset of adults and their close bond means that they are often inseparable. This often means that they would rather stay in each others company even if they are annoying one another or disagreeing which can be quite amusing at times. In this photograph I love the facial expressions they are pulling and the poses they have taken – none of which I actually asked for at the time- and I do think it lets their personalities shine through.
What do you think of my photograph? Don’t forget to check back next Thursday to see what image I have chosen to share with you!
